If you are using Outlook 365, you can turn on a feature called “Undo Sending”. This basically delays any emails you send for up to 30 seconds, where you can then click to cancel it from sending.

This is useful if you have ever sent an email to the wrong person or with the wrong data then as soon as it’s gone realised “Oh no!”.

  1. Go to your email (https://outlook.com/akslytham.com) then click on the settings cog (top right)

  1. Click on Mail (bottom right)

  1. Click on Undo Sending (underneath Mail -> Automatic Processing, on the left hand side)

  1. Select whether you want to turn the feature on or off, and a time from the list. Then click Save

  1. Now when you send a message, you will get an option at the top appear called “Cancel Send”. Clicking this will stop the message from being sent and open it back up in the editor for you to make whatever changes are necessary
